What is keto / ketosis / ketogenic diet?

The ketogenic diet has been around for a long time and studies go as far back as the early 1900s. The diet was initially used to help cure epilepsy, but today scientists, doctors, nutritionists, athletes, and everyday individuals have realized the extreme health benefits of a ketogenic lifestyle.

The ketogenic diet is defined as being very low in carbohydrates and high in healthy fats. You have reached ketosis when your body is essentially burning fat or "ketones" for energy instead of carbohydrates or "glucose."


How does KetoSips help me get into ketosis?

What is grass fed butter/ghee, and why is it better than regular butter?

What is red palm oil? Is it bad for the environment? Is it unhealthy?

KetoSips' vegan Asparagus Tip - Palm (ATP) soup is made with organic, sustainably sourced red palm oil. We use red palm oil from companies who work to ensure that no deforestation or habitat destruction results from the growing or harvesting process of red palm oil.

Red palm oil has been regarded as a sacred healing food by many civilizations. It comes from the fruit of a palm tree and has a dark red colour in its unprocessed natural state. It should not be confused with the palm kernel oil which is derived from the seed or kernel. Red palm oil shows promise in fighting inflammation, quelling disease, and stabilizing appetite. In fact, research has shown that a natural form of vitamin E is found in high amounts in red palm fruit oil, and can help reduce the effects of stroke significantly.


Why is the fat content so high? Isn’t saturated fat unhealthy?
